We are a full-service special effects company for the film and television industry. Based out of North Bay, we have the capacity to work on projects across Ontario.We offer pyrotechnical, mechanical, atmospheric and fire effects.In addition, we are licensed to provide weapon handling on set. Whatever your budget, we can work within it and help you achieve the effects your project needs.
Atmosphere
We are always happy to create a winter wonderland when Mother Nature isn’t doing her bit. Or call us for moody fog, icy roads, rainstorms and drifting smoke.. we have the equipment and experience to create the perfect atmosphere for your project.
Pyrotechnical Effects
If your script calls for a car to blow up, a window to shatter or the bad guy to get shot, we can make that happen. We have the licenses and the experience to give you the action you are looking for. We will help design the most effective way to create the awesome effects your script calls for and help you plan to shoot them most effectively. We’ll also help you get the approvals and permits necessary for the kind of pyro you’re envisioning.
Mechanical Effects
If you can dream it, we can rig it. When your scene calls for a boat sinking, a tree falling, a chair breaking or a pile of cars to collapse, we can help. We will talk to you about the ideas you have that require some mechanical rigging and help you work out a cost-effective solution.
Fire Effects
Fireballs, houses on fire, burning buses, halls of flame – we have done it all. We can light it on fire and we can extinguish it, too. We work with the local fire departments to get the approvals we need to create the fire effects your project needs.
Weapons Handling
We have a Special Firearms License so in addition to our other services, we can provide you with those perfect firearms for your project. We will work with you to get the look you want, and we can provide prop guns in addition to movie firearms that fire theatrical blanks. Our competent and licensed handlers will be on set to ensure the cast and crew are comfortable with the action, and that the filming is done safely without sacrificing creativity.
